After Washington DC, it was a bit anticlimactic for me today while riding to Owings Mills which turned out to be 67miles with 4,000 feet of gain. The highest elevation gain on this tour so far. The Hampton Inn in Owings Mills, a nice hotel with excellent service, was the alternate after we decided to cancel our stay in downtown Baltimore due civil unrest. The day, which was perfect for riding with pleasant temperatures and low humidity, was along the Rock Creek Bike trail for the first 24 miles after leaving downtown DC followed by the rolling countryside terrain of Maryland. Yes, we entered another new State today. Few pictures today, perhaps I'll be more inspired tomorrow. Looking forward to our visit of Philadelphia.
Riding the Rock Creek Trail
Beautiful Temple on route.
Patience, the traffic on this country road will pass.
The closer we got Owings Mills, the heavier the traffic.
This is Arthur, my new hitchhiker.
